Singing in the Easter Choir: Uplifting and Fun!

Music — and singing — is a big uplifter of the spirit — and it raises our vibrations too. And what a better occasion than Easter to really go for it.

It feels almost inappropriate to mention that stress relief is also a side-effect of singing, but it really is — and very much so.

I joined the Easter choir at Unity this year.  I used to hesitate — didn’t think my voice would hold out all the way through — but when I took a chance I loved it.

My voice did fine too.  And talk about uplifting.  It was just such a joyful experience, I’m now wondering when I can join another choir.

Of course, our music director’s choice of material helped with the uplifting bit.  Where I grew up, some of the songs are actually a bit depressing.  Not here though (not at Unity anyway).

I know I’ll join the Christmas choir, but Christmas is way too far off.  I don’t want to wait that long!  Maybe there’ll be another opportunity… Or I’ll have to find another choir.

Or practice violin again.  That too, in either case.

So if you’re looking for a way to raise your vibrations (to help you attract the good stuff) try singing.  In a choir.  Or just in the shower.  It works either way, but I think the effect of singing in a group is synergistic, making it even more powerful than the sum of the individual parts.
