Woohoo! I’m Number 27 on the German TwitCharts.de

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

Woohoo!  I love Twitter!  And I just found the German TwitCharts.de — a top 100 list of the most popular German Twitterers.  So I applied to get on it, and I’m number 27!

Wow! I’ve got to break out the champagne!

And I need to see if I can insert a screen shot:

And if not, you can go to http://www.twitcharts.de and see for yourself!

The Best Twitter Guides: A Review

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

Twitter Guides? There are lots of them out there.  But which ones work — and which ones are the best Twitter guides?

I’m going to go over them one at a time — the ones I like.  This is NOT an exclusive list, but a list of those I’ve come across lately. Particularly, a list of inexpensive guides I’ve come across lately.

First:  Twitter Decoded:

This is an ebook. It’s great for beginners and intermediate Tweeples.  It gives you a very clear overview over how Twitter works, and also provides valuable information on how to use Twitter to build your network.

What I like especially about it is that it promotes a very responsible use of Twitter.  It does provide info on some automated resources but doesn’t focus on them.  Most of the things it suggests are done the old-fashioned way, and they’re going to get results that actually matter.

You can check it out here:  http://budurl.com/twdcd

Another useful guide is Twitter Traffic Machine . It’s almost the opposite of Twitter Decoded.  For starters, it’s mostly a set of videos (with a shortish guide).  And it is very heavy on automation.

I put some of the techniques to use, and they do work like gangbusters. I’ve managed to grow my followers much faster than before — for a lot less "work."

So does it work? Yes.  However, you may want to check on your followers periodically to make sure you’re comfortable with the kind of people you’re following.

Because … while it does follow people selectively, it’s automated, and automation has a limited degree of judgment…  I’m not going to give away how it does it, but let’s just say, it works even better if you make sure you want ALL the followers you’ve been getting.  And delete the ones you’d rather pass on.

It also explains an automated content creation system that goes beyond what I personally would like to do.  But you may like it.

So does it deliver?  In spades. Where can you find it?  Here:

http://budurl.com/twtm

There’s another tool I’ll write about next time…  For now, I highly recommend these two.  Actually, I think they complement each other nicely.  there’s hardly any overlap.  While Twitter Decoded does mention some of the automation tools, it leaves them woefully unexplained.  It’s much more thorough on the basics.

But once you’ve got your basics down, you’ll want to play with some of the more advanced features, and give Twitter Traffic Machine a try. Yes, maybe you might actually want to give the auto content creation a whirl too.

Of course, you may think two guides might be a bit much.  But they’re fairly inexpensive, and considering the time they’ll save you and the increased efficiency (and the chance to avoid costly mistakes), I’d say it’s worth it.  It was to me anyway.

Do they answer ALL my questions? No, which is why I continue to investigate…  More next time.

Meanwhile, have fun, and much success, and give one or both of these a try.

Free Stress Tips for my Twitter Friends :-)

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

Want my Free Stress Tips Report, without signing up?  It’s hidden in here somewhere ;-)

I want to get that report out there, and preferably some feedback too.  And I’d like some of the people who read it to come to my next teleseminar.

What will I do on my next teleseminar?  Talk about how to relieve stress under the most stressful of circumstances.  Why? Because no amount of stressing is going to make anything any better.

Instead, action, especially focused action, does.  But it’s hard to take action, especially action that makes sense, when you’re too stressed to function.

So let others call my approach to stress relief Band Aid Approach.  I stand behind it.  I wouldn’t be here without it!  It helps. It allows you to get on with it even if you think that getting swallowed up by the earth just about now sounds really quite appealing (temporarily anyway).

That’s no license to not look at what’s going on and what’s making you stressed.  But the thing is, you’re much better able to look at it when you’re not in the middle of a nervous breakdown.

So what stress relief techniques do I like especially? You mean other than aromatherapy stress relief?

I like the combination approach.  Bring it on.  Some relaxing music in the background, some stress relief meditation, some stress management exercises, some hot chocolate in my cup, some aromatherapy in my diffuser (I love the “Aroma Shell Diffuser” which you can get from some New Age or health food stores, or from Aromatherapeutix.com, which is where I get a lot of my aromatherapy stuff).

What do I love about my diffuser? You plug it in, it has a little dish that gets warm, but not hot (no fire hazard), and it makes the oil, well, diffuse! And it takes about a minute or two till it works. No noise. No wind. No droplets flying about the air.  Very, very economical.  Two drops can last quite a while.

And then some EFT.  I’ll teach you all how in my next teleseminar! Which could be as early as this week.  Sign up for my list if you want to know when it will be.

So you want my other stress tips? You’ll have to buy the ebook ;-)

Just kidding.  You can get them right here.  No opt-in required.  It may take a moment to load though.  And I do hope you’ll opt in anyway of course. You can do so at the top right, or you can do so here.

Thanks a bunch, and let’s all take a deeeeeep breath! Aaaahhhh!

Twitter Mosaic… on Self-Help Stuff Blog

Thursday, March 12th, 2009

Well, I wanted to install my Twitter Mosaic here on my blog and it blew up my blog!  Ouch.

Probably was too wide.

I couldn’t even edit it. It just created a blank!

It was just sooo cool, but oh shucks. I’ll try again later, but for now, I’ve got some other deadlines.

Meanwhile, you may want to google twitter mosaic and get one for yourself… if you dare.  I think I’ll have to create a special web page for it…

While you’re here, though, why not go and look around a big and maybe get my free stress tips ebook.

Here’s hoping that all YOUR experiments always work.

Inspirational Quotes and Stress Tips on Twitter and Facebook! And Other News…

Friday, November 14th, 2008

I just decided to start a several times a week series of inspirational quotes and stress tips (and other tips) on Twitter, and while I was at it, I figured out, why not put them on Facebook too!

If you follow me on Twitter, where my ID is ElisabethKuhn, you’ll get them right to your Twitter inbox.

Here’s the link:  http://www.twitter.com/ElisabethKuhn

And if you’re on Facebook, please be my friend ;-)

My name is Elisabeth Kuhn, as you might have guessed or already know if you get my newsletter.

Today’s quote was by the late Roger Mellott, one of my all-time favorite stress management experts:

“Do what you say you value.”

Just think about it.

I’ll feed my favorite quotes to you over time, and maybe I’ll make some up too.  And then there’ll be stress tips, and maybe other tips as well.  We’ll see.  I’ll have some fun with this, but I also wanted to make a useful contribution to my Twitter community!

Same goes for Facebook ;-)

By the way, I’m really excited. My downloadable book on how to sell stuff on Amazon.com Marketplace, with all the tricks and streamlining strategies I’ve developed over the last several years that I’ve been selling my excess books over there seems to be finding its audience!

If you want to check it out, just go to http://www.sellyourstuffatamazon.com and you’ll find more information about it there.  If you want to make a bit of extra holiday cash and have books, CDs, DVDs and other such stuff lying around that you no longer need, you’ll find it really useful ;-)

It’s even on Sale right now.  Just click on the link and you’ll see the “real” price.

Meanwhile, it’s Friday evening, and I’m off to a dinner party!

Have a great evening and weekend, and see you on Twitter!

Elisabeth

P.S.: I also published an article on stress-reducing quotes.  You can it here:  stress quotes article.

P.P.S.:  I still have coaching slots available. For more info check out the tab “Coaching” above. It’s still under development, but over the weekend I’ll add more information (info about me, services, what kinds of things I like to help people with, and so on).

Twitter for Traffic and Sales? You Bet! Here’s the How-To…

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

Do you use Twitter? It’s the hottest marketing tool on the planet, yet it can be frustrating, confusing and a huge time-waster if you don’t know what you’re doing. Uhm, yes, I find that it can positively be addictive.

But used correctly, it can drive traffic to your website and even generate sales, sometimes in a matter of just a few seconds.

And it so happens that my friend, Joan Stewart, The Publicity Hound, is hosting a teleseminar series Oct. 13 and 14 called “How to to Use Twitter to Amass an Army of Followers, Customers & Valuable Contacts–and Promote.” You better believe I’ll be there!

On Day 1, you’ll learn the basics of Twitter and time-saving tips. On Day 2, you’ll learn specific strategies on to promote any product, service, cause or issue.

But what if you’re too busy? No problem! If you have a scheduling conflict, register anyway because you’ll get a copy of the MP3 audios and the electronic transcripts to review at your leisure.

Seating is limited to 100 people, so register today at http://www.allthetrafficyouwant.com and learn all about how you too can turn Twitter into a great source of traffic — and sales.

Like they used to say at the radio station where I was a deejay way back when I was in college: Be there or be square ;-)

See you on Twitter later ;-) Tweet me at http://www.twitter.com/ElisabethKuhn
