“Advanced Manifesting” (Tara Springett) Review

Monday, November 7th, 2011

I’m really excited about a new book I just read: “Advanced Manifesting” by Tara Springett! It’s subtitle is “Tibetan Buddhist Secrets for Fulfilling Your Dreams.”

As you know, I’m very interested in Manifesting and the Law of Attraction, and so I wasn’t sure how many new things I might learn, and I was very happily surprised! This book is truly taking the manifestation process to a whole new level.

Tara Springett is a psychotherapist as well as a teacher of Tibetan Buddhism, and she has combined the two in her practice.

In Advanced Manifesting, Tara Springett introduces us to the finer points of how manifestation works according to the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, and, more importantly, gives us a wealth of detailed step-by-step processes.

If you believe you already know a lot about manifestation, you’ll quickly discover, as I did, that there’s a lot more to it than most other books have us believe.

Yet it’s not complicated. At least not when you follow Tara’s eight steps. Here they are, straight from the Table of Contents:

 • Step one – Finding the wish that brings genuine happiness
 • Step two – Harnessing the power of your unconscious mind
 • Step three – Taking action
 • Step four – Raising your vibrations
 • Step five – Overcoming craving
 • Step six – Dealing with the waiting time
 • Step seven – Removing any remaining obstacles
 • Step eight – Receiving the fulfilment of your wish

How Advanced Manifesting Works

The manifestation process starts with step one, finding out what it is that you REALLY want to manifest. The often overlooked aspect of this crucial step is that the desired goal of the manifestation needs to benefit not just the would-be-manifester but also the world around him or her.

And both parts are crucial.

So many of us are all too focused on helping others that we forget looking out for ourselves. But some people are also doing the reverse – focus only on themselves when it comes to deciding what to manifest, with no consideration of the greater good.

Tara has a cool graphic that shows us how these two aspects interact and what they lead to.

She shows us that neither of these approaches leads to successful manifestation or true happiness. You need to find something that will benefit you, but you also need to want it for the greater good of something or someone outside of yourself.

Well, Tara’s book is certainly going to be helping a LOT of people – if they read it and take its teachings to heart. And follow the instructions.

.

As you saw on the list above, there are 8 key steps to advanced manifesting as Tara teaches it. And they all need to be there for successful manifesting to occur. Though they do not all have to be there perfectly, which is a big relief.

Advanced Manifesting – The Challenges

What I like most about the book is Tara’s in-depth exercises and step-by-step processes that help us deal with the inevitable challenges.

What challenges? It can be hard to believe that we really CAN manifest what we truly desire. So we need help with keeping up the faith.

Manifestation is also rarely instant – even when using advanced manifesting techniques. So that can really gnaw on our confidence. It can make us desperate as we yearn for our desired outcome. We might even be tempted to try to bring about changes in others. Those are all things to avoid.

Fortunately, Tara’s exercises help us overcome those challenges.

And about those delays… with Tara’s stories, which are really quite entertaining, we can see how any seeming delay or failure turns out to be for our greater good.

Among the stories she shares was how she met her husband – who turned out to be EXACTLY what she had really wanted deep down but wasn’t so sure she’d ever be able to find. And he came with her total dream house too (or rather, he went out and bought it after they were together!).

All that happened after much frustration with the dating scene and pretty much having given up. And with her friends harassing Tara about being too picky etc. Well, she’s still happily married.

Another story involved a lengthy job search. Tara had gotten a position that was limited to one year, so she went out to look for jobs that started after the year was up. And was rejected over and over again.

At one point, a seemingly perfect position opened up at a friend’s company, which she almost got, but at the last minute, an inside candidate was selected.

Finally, after all the searches, Tara found herself unemployed when that 1-year position ended.

Not much of a master manifester, you might think…

Well, just wait a minute.

Two weeks after her job ended, she met her future husband, who lived in another country, where she joined him. If she had landed a job, this would have not been so easy (or so easy a decision).

Also, deep down she wanted to have her own business, and bingo! It all fell into place. Perfect manifestation after all.

So the wisdom I get from this is that we don’t always get what we think we want, but instead we may get something much better that works much more perfectly with what is really our ultimate goal.

I’ve experienced a lot of these things myself. But this is not the place to share MY stories. This is about Tara’s book.

A few more highlights

I’d like to share just a few more highlights of the Advanced Manifesting book (very biased).

a) It’s a fun read

Tara has a great sense of humor, and I found the book a very entertaining and enjoyable read.

b) How to deal with the waiting time

One of the biggest challenges of manifesting is that there is generally a waiting time until things turn up. And keeping the manifestation process going rather than pushing things away or repelling them is very important – and very difficult.

So Tara offers a number of great techniques that help with this process.

c) A cool new “wrinkle” on gratitude exercises

Tara has a cool way to make gratitude exercises more powerful than ever. She provides a technique that involves expressing gratitude for things that did NOT go our way – and thereby taking away their power and becoming manifestation tools.

This exercise also has a terrific mood-lifting effect.

There’s lots more, but this review is already much longer than I had planned, so I’ll stop here – for now.

Needless to say, I highly recommend Tara Springett’s Advanced Manifesting.

One more thing… I just found out that if you get Tara’s book during her launch, you’ll get a WHOLE bunch of bonuses!

I already have it, but I’ll go and get myself another copy so I can get those bonuses too! Plus, it’ll make a great gift :-)

Happy Manifesting!

Law of Attraction Frustration and How to Cope

Sunday, January 18th, 2009

Discovering the Law of Attraction can be life-changing, but it can also be frustrating. Keeping up your spirits can be hard, especially when things aren’t quite coming into our reality as fast as we’d like, and especially in the face of all those naysayers in our lives…

Have you ever tried to explain to your boss that you work with the Law of Attraction and Allowing and the way he or she wanted you to do things just didn’t fit? I don’t think it’s even worth trying…

And I just came across an article that captures that sense of temporary discouragement perfectly and made me feel soooo much better.

Ann-Marie Caffrey on her Smart-Attractor Blog has a brilliant post up right now:

http://amcaffrey.com/how-heavy-is-this-glass-of-water/

Check it out.

Of course it all comes back to that sometimes elusive “allowing,” that is necessary for the Law of Attraction to be able to work properly.

After slacking off for quite a while, I’ve recommitted myself to my daily practice of meditation, but not just any meditation — no, I’m doing the Quantum Touch Body/Mind/Spirit Integration Meditation (described in the Super-Charging book).

And the coolest thing…

As I wrote in an article quite a while ago, miraculous things started happening as soon as I started meditating (okay, within a few days of that), and now too, things start picking up after a few days of getting back to basics.

And as I read through my Supercharging book the other day, I finally understand just why this is so powerful (must have forgotten — I now remember that they did mention that during the workshop, but at the time manifestation and allowing were concepts I didn’t really understand too well and thought they were a bit beyond my capabilities).

Not so. In fact, here’s an article I wrote more than a year ago:

http://ezinearticles.com/?Meditation-For-Prosperity-and-the-Art-of-Allowing—Confessions-of-a-Formerly-Reluctant-Meditator&id=905641

I wrote it after realizing the significance of that breakthrough in “getting” meditation, thanks to a comment on an Abraham-Hicks CD.

I used to think meditation was boring and didn’t have any use for it, but no more. And the Quantum Touch Supercharging touch really, uhm, supercharges its effectiveness.

But it all comes down to allowing, which I finally understand much better, even though it’s still a challenge. I have found, like Ann-Marie says in her article, that once I allow and don’t try to force it, no matter what it is I’m trying to get or accomplish, that things work out better, and sometimes come together almost miraculously.

Last year, around this time, I came across a saying, Miraculate in 2008. Now it’s 2009, and I need to figure out something to rhyme with “9″ and so I’ve been thinking of things like, Prosperity is mine in 2009 (and yeah, I’m all for that), but here’s one that just popped into my head:

All will be fine in 2009!

Letting go and trusting that, yes, all will be fine if we just let it be.

Which reminds me of Mary Oliver’s poem “The Wild Geese” that goes something like…

You don’t have to be good…. you only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.

Here’s a link for a version of that poem set to music:

Have a wonderful day! And remember:

“All will be fine in 2009″

My Favorite Manifestation How-To Book Teaches Manifestation Step-By-Step: The Secret Behind The Secret

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

How do you manifest what you want in your life? Well… Has anyone ever told you to “just allow”?

Did this drive you nuts? If you said Yes, I have to admit: Me too! What do they mean, “just allow”? I used to find this quite difficult, but I’ve gotten clearer on what this is supposed to mean, and I’ve gotten a lot better at allowing too. Still room for improvement, of course, but really, things are going so much better than they used to. BTW, mediation works nicely, and it doesn’t have to be long either. 10 minutes of being still and focusing on breathing will do the trick.

I just got back (yeah, in the middle of the night) from UnSeminar5, which was PHENOMENAL! Seriously. I totally recommend it to anyone who wants to make a living (a very good one) online. It was the BEST seminar I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to lots and lots of them, though admittedly most of them not in Internet Marketing, but still. I do know conferences and seminars, and this one really rocked.

And not only that, but it felt like I was manifesting my wildest expectations about who I’d be able to talk with and meet. Even people who weren’t even on the program who I wanted to meet were there and I got to have actual conversations with them.

No, I’m not going to launch into a name-dropping fest. Let’s just say, I was astonished. Also at what I learned. And at the huge leap my confidence has taken over the last few days. I know that the Law of Attraction must have something to do with it.

More on the conference later. As you can see from the title, this is more on the Law of Attraction. I just came across this really cool book on how to actually make the law of attraction work for you, more effectively and more quickly than you ever thought possible, and I really wanted to tell you about it before I get side-tracked.

I’ll write a more detailed review on it later, once I’ve gotten some sleep, but for now, just in case you want to check it out for yourself, you can find it at www.HowToAllow.com

One small gripe: The author keeps talking about “man” — hey, women want to manifest too! And yes, of course the techniques he teaches work for anyone. And it’s in nice step-by-step instructions too.

So I’m wishing all of us Happy Manifesting, or, in other words: Let’s miraculate in 2008!

Yes you can. How? The same way you accomplish anything else.

Find some role models. There’s just that tiny little problem: where can you find some Millionaire role models? Yes, it can be a bit challenging at times, but it will be sooo worth it.

Consider that we supposedly make about the average of the money that the people around us make.

And our salaries haven’t even kept up with inflation…

But there ARE Millionaires and even Billionaires. And how many do you really “need”?

Here’s how you can get the attention of your favorite millionaire:

1. Work on your mindset. Nobody likes to hang out with someone who begrudges them their money.

2. Work on creating streams of income.

3. Spend time with really rich people. Where? How? Go places where they hang out. Opera, Theater, Classical Music Concerts, and certain charities.

4. Do NOT hit them up for money.*

(* UNLESS you’re raising funds for a cause they care about.)

Instead, go to one of my favorite billionaires‘ website and download your FREE inspirational virtual CD:

Nine Steps to Achieve Any Goal!

It’s quite an inspiring program!

Enjoy and have a great evening.

Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo: Buddhist Chanting for Manifestation?

Monday, May 12th, 2008

Chanting for manifestation? I read about it in Tina Turner’s autobiography quite a few years back and was intrigued. But I didn’t really follow up. Part of me didn’t really believe it. That was years before I discovered Abraham.

Last Saturday, I had an experience that made me a believer (or at least a tentative believer):

A few friends from Unity got together to work on manifesting money and other things they wanted in their lives. Of course, I’m interested in that as well, as you know from previous blog entries, especially for my New Zealand trip (see below) (and also for the bills etc.).

The meeting included a chanting session, led by Gino, a Buddhist (don’t know what descriptive noun to use — I’m not sure he’s a monk, and “expert chanter” definitely doesn’t sound quite right).

In any case, he explained the meaning of everything, the chant as well as the altar we sat in front of and how it would work, and proceeded to lead us in our chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo for about 30 minutes. It was an extremely powerful experience.

Before I left for the meeting, I had frantically tried to list some stuff on Ebay but wasn’t able to because my camera’s battery was dead and I had to wait until it charged.

I had also set up a listing in a forum where people sell each other their products and services, but wasn’t holding my breath. The response to my previous efforts there had been underwhelming to put it politely. I didn’t even make my listing fee back.

Yet when I returned home after the chanting and checked my email and discovered that I had received THREE orders on the forum, two of them quite substantial! The results from that evening totalled more than 40 times more than what I had received in the entire time before.

I had done a better job with the marketing aspect, but still, the timing was really uncanny. (and no orders since either! I will have to chant some more).

I was definitely impressed. Gino had told us to expect results, but so quickly, and so clearly? I’ll be chanting regularly now. I think I can do it in place of some of my meditation sessions…

You may want to try it too. Just be sure you get the most important part right, which is to think of what you want to happen while you chant Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo.

Will it work if you chant something else? I really don’t know. My opinion? Why mess with success?

The rest of the evening included treasure map making (depicting the things we wanted to manifest in our lives, and very yummy food!

And now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to do my chanting for tonight!

P.S.: Maybe I should add a chapter about chanting in my stress-relief ebook
