The Law of Attraction — and Stress: A Different Perspective

Sunday, May 17th, 2009

Does The Law of Attraction really work?  I think so.  But here’s the scoop:

I just found this really cool article about it on Twitter:

http://www.youaretrulyloved.com/enlightenment/the-deeper-purpose-behind-the-law-of-attraction/

Check this out and let me know what you think.  The thing is we’ve all been going about getting what we want the hard way.  Well, most of us have.  And I’m the grand master at doing things the hard way.

In fact, I think I’ve had a deep down feeling that I only deserved things I got the very, very hard way.  It’s sort of a justification for why I got them.

And now I’m learning that I was going about it the wrong way.  I should approach things with much more ease.  To focus on what I want, enjoy the idea of having them, and then mostly do what seems to be the next step etc.

I’ve learned that from Bill Burns years ago, but didn’t fully "get" it until I’ve been studying Abraham-Hicks and the teachings of Unity.  And yes, I do have relapses…

But things do go so much better when I focus on the positive, on what I want and banish thoughts of negative possible outcomes from my consciousness as much as possible.

While doing my part in making things happen.

So here goes…

Oh, and how does stress figure in with the Law of attraction?  Well, doing things the hard way causes stress, and stress practically keeps the desired results from you.

So one step towards getting somewhere is to get a grip on stress.  Obviously, there are many ways to do that.  If you want to know one way, you can either sign up for my free report at any of the sign-up forms right here, OR you can go to http://www.FreeStressTipsReport.com and sign up over there.

And I’m just working on a new edition of that ebook, and if you still get the old version, you’ll get the new one automatically (unless you unsubscribe before I have a chance to send it to you).

So let’s all relax into attracting what we desire :-)

Happy attracting!

Visualize Prosperity — and Take Inspired Action Too = Fast Results

Monday, April 20th, 2009

Visualize prosperity and take inspired action — and you’ll see results.

My self help blog is coming back to the prosperity angle for a bit…  After all, cash flow is a crucial ingredient in this society.  And reading the paper can put a serious crimp in your style.

So I’m going to do a few things:

1) Put the focus back on prosperity, the law of attraction, and stress management, individually and in combination.

2) Put together a teleseminar (or two or three) where I’ll provide some great tips and information on how to do that — quite possibly with some cool surprise guests.

3) Take lots of inspired action. You’ll be reading about some of itright here or in my newsletter.  If you’re not subscribed yet, what are you waiting for?

Go here and get your FREE ebook and subscription:

http://www.FreeStressTipsReport.com

4) I just got a really cool ebook on how to make $100 a day online.  20 different ways of doing that.  And it’s all by highly respected veteran internet marketing gurus.  Cool stuff.  But the best part is that I can turn around and sell the ebook myself and share the info as well as the wealth (check it out right here):

http://www.make-money-online-step-by-step.com

And the best thing: if you get it, you too will have your own ready-made product you can sell instantly and earn 100% of your investment back with the very first sale…

The info on how to do that is right there on the download page you’ll receive either through PayPal or in your email after the purchase.

Is the book good?  Yeah! Very.

I bet there are several ways in there that you could start right away.  I’ve used several of them myself.

So let’s get prosperous no matter what the economy seems to say. All it takes is some inspired action.

P.S.:  You don’t HAVE to take the action I suggest — there’s lots of other stuff you can do.

BTW, if you prefer to save money rather than bring in more, I’ve got something for you as well:

P.P.S.:  My teleseminar on Stress, Prosperity, and the Law of Attraction:  This Thursday at 9 p.m. EST (or 6 p.m. Pacific time). Details coming up!

Singing in the Easter Choir: Uplifting and Fun!

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

Music — and singing — is a big uplifter of the spirit — and it raises our vibrations too. And what a better occasion than Easter to really go for it.

It feels almost inappropriate to mention that stress relief is also a side-effect of singing, but it really is — and very much so.

I joined the Easter choir at Unity this year.  I used to hesitate — didn’t think my voice would hold out all the way through — but when I took a chance I loved it.

My voice did fine too.  And talk about uplifting.  It was just such a joyful experience, I’m now wondering when I can join another choir.

Of course, our music director’s choice of material helped with the uplifting bit.  Where I grew up, some of the songs are actually a bit depressing.  Not here though (not at Unity anyway).

I know I’ll join the Christmas choir, but Christmas is way too far off.  I don’t want to wait that long!  Maybe there’ll be another opportunity… Or I’ll have to find another choir.

Or practice violin again.  That too, in either case.

So if you’re looking for a way to raise your vibrations (to help you attract the good stuff) try singing.  In a choir.  Or just in the shower.  It works either way, but I think the effect of singing in a group is synergistic, making it even more powerful than the sum of the individual parts.

P.S.:  Not sure your voice is up to it?  Check this out: http://www.drkrecommends.com/singorama.php and you may well be singing a solo next time you have the opportunity — and wow them too!

My Favorite Law Of Attraction Books: “Law of Attraction”

Monday, April 13th, 2009

My (self help blog’s) favorite Law of Attraction book? Aside from Abraham’s “Ask and it is given”?

Staying focused on keeping up those vibrations and attracting the good stuff can be a challenge when faced with “reality.”

And so I am starting a resource library of sorts of the most helpful tools to help me (and you) stay focused on what we really want to manifest in our lives.

There are quite a few I like, and I’ll write a post about each of them over the next month or so (with my daily posts, I need lots of stuff to write about), but today’s favorite is this one:

Michael Losier’s “Law of Attraction.”  Why?

It’s a REALLY fast read.  And it’s oh so userfriendly.  It comes with charts where you can write down, oh, I don’t think I should give it all away!

In fact, there are downloadable additional charts on Michael’s website.

Just imagine, you get a simple 1-2-3 system that makes you magnetic to all you want. It’s way cool.

So what’s the system?  Figure out what you don’t want, then quickly move on to what you want instead.  The “don’t” just serves as the launcher of the rocket of desire (in Abraham’s term), but the focus has to be on what’s wanted.

Losier calls it “Clarity through Contrast.”

And then make a desire statement.  I printed out multiple copies of mine and will keep them handy to reread them often. Maybe post them all around my apartment.

The purpose of that desire statement, by the way, is not to wrestle it into your life but to lift your vibrations so your desires can manifest all by themselves.  All you have to do is “allow.”

Same thing that Abraham said about visualizing your perfect dream scenario.  It’s there to raise your vibration, not MAKE it come true.  If you try too hard, after all, you only push it away.

Which brings us to the all-important next step, which is covered in the following section: allowing.

It’s something I used to find really troubling, but I’m getting better, thanks to so many good resources.

In fact, I’m going to have to go and re-read it. Michael makes it seem so easy.

Highly recommended as a very practical and easy to follow Law of attraction book.

My Self-Help Blog is Baaaack. Law of Attraction in Action.

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

Goodness. I can’t believe it’s been this long.  My self-help blog has been AWOL for a whole month, and that was because the Law of attraction was working even better than I had bargained for.

I was trying to attract freelance work, and I was so effective with doing so that I got very much behind with a lot of other things. I also need to do a bit more tweaking in terms of exactly what I attract, but overall, I’m very happy with how things have been going (albeit a bit exhausted).

If you’re curious about the kind of work I’ve been attracting, check out my other blog, either http://www.LinguisticLeverage.com or http://www.WriteProVA.com — the latter one redirects to a specific page of the former.

I’m also now moderating a network at http://www.Ryze.com, a very cool networking/business networking site.  My network is Business Online/Offline Success for Women, also known as BOOST4Women.

The T in BOOST still needs to be filled in, and the contest just ended, so the result will be announced shortly.

You can find this network here:

http://BOOST4Women-network.ryze.com/

And if you’re a woman with a business, please come and join us.  Men are welcome too, though they do need to be aware of the fact that Ryze is primarily a women’s networking group.  Primarily, and not exclusively.

Anyway, you’ll be reading more about my journey as I learn how to balance all these exciting happenings with still keeping up with other things in life, personal stuff, friends, fun, self-care, just self-help stuff in general, like what I’m writing about here on my self-help blog.

In the meantime, I’m practicing what I preach in my stress book http://www.InstantStressReliefStrategies.com — if it weren’t for EFT and aromatherapy & Co, I’d never make it.

BTW, I’m thrilled that one of my articles is rising to the top 15 most viewed at http://www.Ezinearticles.com

If you want to check it out, go to:

http://budurl.com/antistressquotes

It’s one of my favorite articles and if features some of my favorite quotes — the ones that keep me going when the going gets a bit tough.  I hope you’ll enjoy it too.

Thanks for reading, and come back soon.  I’ll make a big effort to post more regularly now!

Have a fantastic February.

Law of Attraction Frustration and How to Cope

Sunday, January 18th, 2009

Discovering the Law of Attraction can be life-changing, but it can also be frustrating.  Keeping up your spirits can be hard, especially when things aren’t quite coming into our reality as fast as we’d like, and especially in the face of all those naysayers in our lives…

Have you ever tried to explain to your boss that you work with the Law of Attraction and Allowing and the way he or she wanted you to do things just didn’t fit?  I don’t think it’s even worth trying…

And I just came across an article that captures that sense of temporary discouragement perfectly and made me feel soooo much better.

Ann-Marie Caffrey on her Smart-Attractor Blog has a brilliant post up right now:

http://amcaffrey.com/how-heavy-is-this-glass-of-water/

Check it out.

Of course it all comes back to that sometimes elusive “allowing,” that is necessary for the Law of Attraction to be able to work properly.

After slacking off for quite a while, I’ve recommitted myself to my daily practice of meditation, but not just any meditation — no, I’m doing the Quantum Touch Body/Mind/Spirit Integration Meditation (described in the Super-Charging book).

And the coolest thing…

As I wrote in an article quite a while ago, miraculous things started happening as soon as I started meditating (okay, within a few days of that), and now too, things start picking up after a few days of getting back to basics.

And as I read through my Supercharging book the other day, I finally understand just why this is so powerful (must have forgotten — I now remember that they did mention that during the workshop, but at the time manifestation and allowing were concepts I didn’t really understand too well and thought they were a bit beyond my capabilities).

Not so.  In fact, here’s an article I wrote more than a year ago:

http://ezinearticles.com/?Meditation-For-Prosperity-and-the-Art-of-Allowing—Confessions-of-a-Formerly-Reluctant-Meditator&id=905641

I wrote it after realizing the significance of that breakthrough in “getting” meditation, thanks to a comment on an Abraham-Hicks CD.

I used to think meditation was boring and didn’t have any use for it, but no more.  And the Quantum Touch Supercharging touch really, uhm, supercharges its effectiveness.

But it all comes down to allowing, which I finally understand much better, even though it’s still a challenge.  I have found, like Ann-Marie says in her article, that once I allow and don’t try to force it, no matter what it is I’m trying to get or accomplish, that things work out better, and sometimes come together almost miraculously.

Last year, around this time, I came across a saying, Miraculate in 2008.  Now it’s 2009, and I need to figure out something to rhyme with “9″ and so I’ve been thinking of things like, Prosperity is mine in 2009 (and yeah, I’m all for that), but here’s one that just popped into my head:

All will be fine in 2009!

Letting go and trusting that, yes, all will be fine if we just let it be.

Which reminds me of Mary Oliver’s poem “The Wild Geese” that goes something like…

You don’t have to be good…. you only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.

Here’s a link for a version of that poem set to music:

Have a wonderful day! And remember:

“All will be fine in 2009″
