			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Do you ever wish you knew how to attract money?  How to make your projects work out the way you were hoping for? Here&#8217;s the key&#8230; You need to know&#8230; How to Allow Abundance.</p>
<p>Well, my cyber friend Wendy Betterini is a major expert on the subject. She&#8217;s written several books about it, among other things, but right now, she has outdone herself&#8230;</p>
<h2>How to Allow Abundance: Wendy&#8217;s Course</h2>
<p>She has created a course on how to attract money, or rather, how to <strong>ALLOW ABUNDANCE</strong>.</p>
<p>You see, attracting it is one thing.  We&#8217;ve learned from the Secret how to attract.  We know about the law of attraction, and some of us may think it doesn&#8217;t work because &#8211; where is everything I&#8217;ve been trying to attract?</p>
<p>Well, there is more to the law of attraction than deciding what you want.  It took me quite a while (and  a lot of reading Wendy&#8217;s materials, plus those by Abraham/Hicks, and Michael Losier, and lately Tara Springett, and I&#8217;m now understanding it.</p>
<p>Still, understanding and actually doing aren&#8217;t the same thing.  And so I&#8217;ve been very happy with Wendy&#8217;s course which focuses on the missing piece in the equation, though it also is comprehensive enough to capture the whole process.</p>
<h2>So how DO you allow abundance</h2>
<p>I&#8217;ve written before about how I learned how to allow (or even how to understand what it&#8217;s all about), but Wendy provided a whole lot of resources that helped me actually allow!</p>
<p>And in this course, she&#8217;s put everything together, from Tapping exercises to meditations to lots and lots of other exercises. And she&#8217;s fun!  So this won&#8217;t be a boring and solemn course at all.  You&#8217;ll enjoy yourself as you work towards every increasing abundance.</p>

<h2>Attracting Abundance</h2>
<p>So how does attracting abundance work.  If you&#8217;re reading this, you probably want to manifest or attract prosperity and abundance, or do so quickly.  But the more urgently you want it, the BIGGER the roadblock that might be holding you back.</p>
<p>Case in point.  I just talked to a friend this morning who was getting ready for a very important phone conversation about a big contract &#8211; and he was stressed out because he really NEEDED the money. </p>
<p>I can certainly relate.  I&#8217;ve been there, and I still find myself in that spot much more often than I would like.</p>
<p>But I also know this:</p>
<p>If there is one thing you can do to improve your odds of attracting abundance, it&#8217;s to reduce the stress and focus on the positive outcome you want.</p>
<p>And that&#8217;s no matter what it is you want.</p>
<p>Sure, it&#8217;s tough to step back from your NEED and get into the space of happy anticipation and a bit of detachment from the outcome, which would be far more effective.</p>
<p>Does it work? Not 100% of the time. But here&#8217;s something to think about:</p>
<p>How often did you NOT get what you wanted and a few years later were REALLY glad you didn&#8217;t?  It&#8217;s funny how things work out sometimes.</p>
<p>Okay, so that&#8217;s not what you wanted to hear right now. Me neither. But it&#8217;s something to keep in mind, if ony for the sake of reducing the pressure in the moment.  And THAT&#8217;s what will help  with attracting abundance!</p>
<p>In fact, if it&#8217;s for your higher good, chances are pretty good that things work MUCH more smoothly when you do calm down, focus on the positive outcome and in fact look forward to it (or something even better).</p>
<p>Basically, this means they work out when you don&#8217;t push them away. And stressing about things means pushing away what you want to happen.</p>
<p><strong>Why you MUST let go of the worries and stress</strong></p>
<p>The key is to let go of the worries because what you worry about you&#8217;re likely to attract.  </p>
<p><strong><a href="http://billburns.org" target="_blank">Bill Burns</a> </strong> told me years ago that if I worried about something, I may or may not draw exactly what I worry about into my life.  But I will draw something along the line of my concern.</p>
<p>And here&#8217;s the quote I remember verbatum (about the &#8220;something&#8221; I will draw): &#8220;Trust me, it will be adequate.&#8221;  Adequate to live up to my worries that is.  NOT something I would want.</p>
<p><strong>How to calm yourself down?</strong></p>
<p>So how can you calm yourself down, let go of the worries, and get excited about what you DO want.</p>
<p>As I wrote last time in my post about <strong><a href="http://myfavoriteselfhelpstuff.com/raising-vibrations/how-to-make-yourself-feel-better/" target="_blank">how to make yourself feel better</a></strong>, there are a few choice things you can do.</p>
<p><strong>1) Focus on what you DO want</strong></p>
<p>Abraham-Hicks are adamant about the importance of that, and so is Michael Losier.  How do you do that? Just make it your mantra:  &#8220;So what DO I want?&#8221;  </p>
<p>Focus on that, and the other stuff will fall by the wayside.</p>
<p><strong>2) Gratitude</strong></p>
<p>This is something I didn&#8217;t talk about in my last blog, but I am a great fan of <strong><a href="http://myfavoriteselfhelpstuff.com/gratitude/thanksgiving-gratitude-and-the-law-of-attraction/" target="_blank">keeping a gratitude journal</a></strong>, which I wrote about last Thanksgiving, and reminding myself of things I&#8217;m grateful for on a regular basis, ESPECIALLY when I&#8217;m worried and stressed.</p>
<p>It seems you can&#8217;t really be grateful and stressed all at the same time. So how cool is that!</p>
<p><strong>3) Get an &#8220;Attracting Abundance&#8221; Mindset</strong></p>
<p>It also helps to build a mindset that consistently works at attracting abundance and prosperity.  That&#8217;s what I tried to accomplish in my <strong><a href="http://myfavoriteselfhelpstuff.com/prosperity-internet/emoney-magic-why-your-money-mindset-is-so-important/" target="_blank">eMoney Magic</a></strong> program.  </p>
<p>Your efforts in manifesting abundance are not going to work too well if you keep pushing all that prosperity away.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Happy Thanksgiving!  I hope you were able to celebrate it surrounded by your loved ones, and were enjoying the turkey, the cranberries, pumpkin pie, and, oh, the Brussels sprouts too.</p>
<p>And every year, about this time, I am overcome with gratitude.  Gratitude for all sorts of things, big and small, and even for a few things that haven&#8217;t even happened yet, but that I anticipate &#8212; and being grateful for them in advance appears to make them arrive more quickly.</p>
<p>Nutty?  Not really! It&#8217;s just one of those amazing Law of Attraction techniques.</p>
<p>Looking at the date of my last post, I realize that I haven&#8217;t been keeping up very well.</p>
<p>The reason &#8212; some ongoing bout with the sniffles, sore throat, fatigue, and more.  I&#8217;m still very tired, but I&#8217;m getting better.  And I&#8217;m grateful!  Also grateful for this not turning into something worse.</p>
<p>And for knowing the sort of things that help make it better, or at least easier to bear, from Vick&#8217;s VapoRub, and hot soup, and even that nasal rinse with the Neti Pot.</p>
<p>I have to admit I don&#8217;t much care for the Neti Pot really, but I do like the results, so I use it at least some of the time.</p>
<p>And I&#8217;ve figured out a way to enhance it even:  by adding a few drops of some mix including Oregano!  Yup, the stuff that goes on pizza is also great for killing bacteria.  Now you have another reason to eat pizza!  Another reason for gratitude.</p>
<p>So how does gratitude help with the Law of Attraction?</p>
<p>It puts you in a higher vibration.  And when you&#8217;re grateful, you can&#8217;t be angry or depressed at the same time, so it&#8217;s a great practice to write down gratitude lists, or do a verbal rampage of appreciation, or just create a litany of things you&#8217;re grateful for.</p>
<p>It doesn&#8217;t have to be major. Even little things work and add up.  I do highly recommend writing them down though.</p>
<p>And one thing I&#8217;m also grateful for is that I finally have my <a href="http://budurl.com/emmwso7" target="_blank">eMoney Magic</a> program finally ready in pre-Launch. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ever wonder why you should bother with stress relief?</p>
<p><strong>Does it make you feel like a wuss if you take action to reduce your stress?</strong></p>
<p>Sure, there are people who are actively trying to make you feel that it&#8217;s a weakness to avoid stress because, after all, &#8220;everybody is stressed.&#8221;</p>
<p>Maybe, and maybe not.  But you&#8217;re not everybody, and let other people make their own decisions.</p>
<p>Here are a number of reasons why YOU should do something about YOUR stress levels:</p>
<p><strong>1) Stress feels bad</strong></p>
<p>Yup, it makes you feel bad, and, as Abraham/Hicks say, &#8220;The most important thing is that you feel good.&#8221;</p>
<p>How so? Well, if you feel bad, you&#8217;ll attract more bad-feeling things. And who wants THAT?</p>
<p>The better you feel, the better things will be going for you.</p>
<p>So it&#8217;s really important to get on top of stress.</p>
<p><strong>2) Stress prevents you from doing your best</strong></p>
<p>You already know that, but it doesn&#8217;t hurt to provide a little reminder:</p>
<p>When you&#8217;re stressed, your brain shuts down.  And if it doesn&#8217;t shut down completely, it&#8217;s still highly compromised.</p>
<p>So you won&#8217;t be able to do your best, and doing lousy work or treating your loved ones badly will come back to bite you.</p>
<p><strong>3) Stress damages your health</strong></p>
<p>Stress causes, in no particular order, the following problems:</p>
<p>* Obesity<br />
* Inflammation<br />
* Heart Disease<br />
* High Blood Pressure<br />
* Vision Problems<br />
* Kidney Problems<br />
* Cancer<br />
* Diabetes<br />
* Problems in the &#8216;bedroom&#8217;<br />
* Stroke<br />
* Heart Attack<br />
* Fried Brain Syndrome</p>
<p>And that&#8217;s just for starters.</p>
<p>Why not simply learn some easy strategies that will help you get that stress under control WHILE it happens?  Why not nip the darn thing in the bud?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I was just rereading my last blog post and the comments and found myself caught up in pondering the bit where I talk about resistance.</p>
<p>And that reminded me of &#8220;allowing.&#8221;</p>
<p>I remember the first time I was told I should just &#8220;allow.&#8221;</p>
<p>Uhm, what do you mean, I would ask, and none of the answers were very helpful.</p>
<p>That was at a time when I was learning to do Quantum Touch Energy Healing, and allowing was key to making it work.  </p>
<p>I still could get it to work, but the more I focused on &#8220;willing&#8221; it to work, the less it did.</p>
<p>Fast forward a few years&#8230;</p>
<p>I discovered Abraham, and I finally &#8220;got&#8221; allowing.</p>
<p>Abraham&#8217;s explanation was pretty good.  But I REALLY got it when I read Erin Pavlina&#8217;s definition of allowing.</p>
<p>She wrote that it was much like in a restaurant, or if you ordered pizza or something (don&#8217;t remember the exact example though maybe it was both).</p>
<p>Once you call them and order the pizza, you basically stop thinking about it until it arrives.  You don&#8217;t call back and inquire about the progress of your pizza.  You don&#8217;t think frantically about what would happen if the pizza won&#8217;t show up.</p>
<p>You don&#8217;t focus on the pizza, draw images of the pizza, and otherwise obsess about the pizza.  You just let it go and allow it to arrive in due time.</p>
<p>And of course, it does.</p>
<p>And it&#8217;s much the same with most everything else.</p>
<p>Now, when I do Quantum Touch, I no longer even think much of the outcome. I just focus on the breathing and whatever technique or meditation I&#8217;m using, and don&#8217;t even think about whether it will work or not.</p>
<p>Interestingly, it works much better now.</p>
<p>And so, when I&#8217;m hoping for a certain outcome that I don&#8217;t have control over, I do my thing and then I meditate and visualize what I want, but without giving it a whole lot of attention.  Just a bit of joyous anticipation.</p>
<p>And maybe some gratitude.</p>
<p>I think that&#8217;s the secret.  </p>
<p>The language is interesting though&#8230; If we obsess about something, we don&#8217;t think we are resisting it, even though we are.  Because when we obsess, the underlying feeling is fear that we can&#8217;t have it.  And negative expectations are&#8230; resistance.</p>
<p>While relaxed positive expectations &#8212; and even none at all &#8212; are allowing.</p>

<p>Have you also noticed that it just doesn&#8217;t work?</p>
<p>There is a reason for that&#8230;</p>
<p>When you&#8217;re in a jam, your energy exudes &#8220;emergency&#8221; and &#8220;need&#8221; and unfortunately, the law of attraction will only sendyou more of that.</p>
<p>When you&#8217;re worried about something, you&#8217;ll attract more of what you&#8217;re worried about.</p>
<p>So what can you do?</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a catch 22.  You need to find a way to feel better before things caqn better.  And it&#8217;s a huge challenge.  After all, it feels very counterintuitive.</p>
<p>I remember years back when I first was told that I had to be happy with where I was before I could get what I really wanted.  I thought that was absurd. I was pretty ticked off at the &#8220;messenger&#8221; who told me that.</p>
<p>The thing is, he was right. </p>
<p>So what should you do?</p>
<p>Here are a few tips:</p>
<p>1) Breathe</p>
<p>2) Take a break or do something you enjoy. A walk, a bath, a cup of coffee, music, and so on.</p>
<p>3) Work with Abraham&#8217;s emotional scale (see sidebar for posts on that).</p>
<p>4) Pray and/or meditate, preferably both.</p>
<p>5) Have fun</p>
<p>6) Imagine you had it already and what that would feel like.  Put yourself into that emotional state.</p>
<p>7) Let it go. Allow. Turn it over to the Universe/God.</p>
<p>Remember, you can&#8217;t rush things.  But the less you resist them, the faster you&#8217;ll be able to attract them.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The <a href="http://www.eft-tapping.info" target="_blank">EFT World Summit 2</a> has truly been an experience (and continues to be).  I listened to almost all the audios as they happened, and tapped along. I feel cleansed and renewed already. And it&#8217;s not quite over yet.  There are a few more freebies available each day for another few days, so go check it out:</p>

<p>Among my favorites was Patricia Carrington&#8217;s Choices method and well, there were so many wonderful other sessions, I will have to just write about them over time, one at a time.</p>
<p>The reason why Patricia Carrington&#8217;s stood out for me personally was because she really expanded my view of how to use EFT.</p>
<p>Traditionally, EFT was developed to reduce or remove negative feelings etc.  Carrington uses it to increase good feelings.</p>
<p>I already knew about tapping on the positive, which I learned from Carol Look and Brad Yates, but Carrington took it some important steps further.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re familiar with the Law of Attraction, you can immediately see the benefits of such an approach.  We attract what we feel, and the better we feel, the better the things we attract.</p>
<p>This is all very nice, but what if we don&#8217;t feel so hot?  What if life is rough and we feel very justified in wallowing in self pity, thank you very much.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s that old Leslie Gore song all over again&#8211; &#8220;It&#8217;s my party and I cry if I want to!&#8221;</p>
<p>And in a parallel vein: &#8220;I&#8217;m feeling miserable and I&#8217;m well within my rights to wallow in my misery.&#8221;</p>
<p>Well&#8230; we may be within our rights, but how is it serving us?  Not so well, right?</p>
<p>The problem with that attitude is that we stay stuck in those feelings of misery.   Bill Burns says that we do that because it feels familiar, and getting away from it makes us very uncomfortable.  </p>
<p>I say, let&#8217;s get over it.  I much prefer to feel good, and since Patricia Carrington&#8217;s method can get me to snap out of it when I need a bit of help in that area, she&#8217;s now my new best friend, or at least, my new favorite EFT teacher. </p>
<p>In addition to Carol Look, and Brad Yates, that is. Oh, and Jessica Ortner, who has created a very cool tapping sequence that she made available as a download. It&#8217;s about overcoming Fear of Failure, Fear of Criticism, and Impatience.  Great stuff.  </p>

<p>Today, we have two new amazing programs.  Right now, I&#8217;m listening to Patricia Carrington talk about tapping in positive memories and feelings to make the Law of Attraction work a LOT better.</p>
<p>This is especially useful during times of stress and distress about the issue at hand.</p>
<p>She says, it&#8217;s important to take snapshots of when good things are happening and you have positive feelings about the issue, i.e., money, and then tap it in, saying &#8220;I want more of this positive feeling&#8221;</p>
<p>Makes sense to me.  I&#8217;m tapping <img src='http://MyFavoriteSelfHelpStuff.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>And then there&#8217;s Rick Wilkes who will talk about Childhood trauma.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Have you ever picked up your iPod or turned on the radio (or TV) and the exact thing you needed to hear was playing right then?</p>
<p>That&#8217;s what just happened to me.</p>
<p>Earlier today, I had been  listening to an interview and then I went on to my day&#8217;s  work.  Hours later, I picked up my iPod to go for a walk before it got dark.  And I noticed it was playing&#8230;.</p>
<p>Apparently I had forgotten to turn it off, and with the earphones you don&#8217;t hear it playing unless you&#8217;re pretty close (at least not at the volume that I tend to use).</p>
<p>I checked and it was playing Dr. Robert Anthony&#8217;s &#8221; Allowing vs. Resisting&#8221; from his &#8220;The Science of Deliberate Creation&#8221; program.</p>
<p>It was EXACTLY what I needed to hear right then and there, so I listened to it several time, during my entire walk.  Right now, I&#8217;m listening to the next segment.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s not  that I didn&#8217;t know this information.  I HAVE listened to his program before, and, of course, I have listenend to dozens of Abraham CDs.  I&#8217;ve read a bunch of books, from Joe Vitale&#8217;s to Michael Losier&#8217;s books, plus Abraham books, and so on.</p>
<p>Still, it helps to be reminded occasionally that the way to create change is to focus on what we do want and not on what we do not want.</p>
<p>So now I&#8217;m doing just that <img src='http://MyFavoriteSelfHelpStuff.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>But isn&#8217;t it funny how life sometimes puts things in front of us with perfect timing?  Coincidence?  I think not.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s another interesting incident I remember from quite a few years back &#8212; back when I was getting a lot of my info by way of listening to tapes on my car stereo.  </p>
<p>One day, I was driving along and when I arrived at my destination and turned off the ignition, the last thing Roger Mellott said on his &#8220;Stress Skills for Turbulent Times&#8221; Tape was &#8220;Do what you say you value.&#8221;</p>
<p>This, he said, was the ultimate key to stress reduction.</p>
<p>Now I had listened to this tape quite a number of times, but I had never noticed this particular phrase.  But now, with it being the very last thing before I turned the key, it practically boomed in my brain.  And I spent a lot of time over the following few weeks thinking about what I needed to change in my life to get into better alignment in terms of how I spent my time.</p>
<p>So I believe that obviously these things are not coincidences.  In some way, we attract what we need to hear, at last if we pay attention.</p>
<p>And so, today, I am going to pay attention to Dr. Robert Anthony.  It&#8217;s time to get back to focusing on what I DO want, and to finding joy in every moment.</p>
<p>May our days be filled with joy and serendipity.</p>
