<p>Seriously, it&#8217;s the time for flu shots and raising your vibration to counteract any lingering SAD issues as the days get shorter and shorter.</p>
<p>How to keep vibrations high?</p>
<p>1) Gratitude</p>
<p>Find things you&#8217;re grateful for and make a list.  Make a point of taking note of ANYTHING that&#8217;s pleasurable, from the sunshine and the weather to coffee and music and whatever pleases you.</p>
<p>What about the things that bug you? Use them as an inspiration for asking yourself that all-important question:</p>
<p>2) So what DO I want?</p>
<p>Think about what you do want instead of what you&#8217;re trying to avoid.  Sometimes, just some extra attention to language will do the trick.</p>
<p>Instead of I don&#8217;t want all those bills, say I like to have lots of money to pay any bills that might appear, and have plenty left over. </p>

<p>One thing I find especially helpful for raising vibrations is EFT. But don&#8217;t underestimate the above techniques.</p>
<p>What else?</p>
<p>The Abraham-Hicks emotional scale.  Check in the Categories sidebar and click on e Abraham-Hicks emotional scale entry and you&#8217;ll find a couple of my posts on that.</p>
<p>These scales work great.  What you do is write down the various categories, from bad to good, figure out where you are, and create some statements that reflect what you&#8217;re feeling at that level. Then move up a level.</p>
<p>For example you could move from despair to anger to frustration to envy to irritation to boredom to hopefulness and optimism and joy.  Can you feel how you&#8217;re raising your vibration as you do this?</p>
<p>You can find detailed examples in their book on the power of emotion (link in that post I think).  Or try my general Abraham Hicks category.</p>
<p>And then there are a few other things&#8230;</p>
<p>Breathe!</p>
<p>Go for walks during the day, preferably in a nature setting.</p>
<p>Get enough sleep</p>
<p>Use aromatherapy to cheer yourself up and for help with raising your vibration.  Or just sniff on a few crushed grapefruit peels&#8230; (and eat the grapefruit &#8212; it&#8217;s good for you!).</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Do you ever wish you could manifest your desires NOW?  What if you&#8217;re in a jam and you need it yesterday?</p>
<p>Have you also noticed that it just doesn&#8217;t work?</p>
<p>There is a reason for that&#8230;</p>
<p>When you&#8217;re in a jam, your energy exudes &#8220;emergency&#8221; and &#8220;need&#8221; and unfortunately, the law of attraction will only sendyou more of that.</p>
<p>When you&#8217;re worried about something, you&#8217;ll attract more of what you&#8217;re worried about.</p>
<p>So what can you do?</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a catch 22.  You need to find a way to feel better before things caqn better.  And it&#8217;s a huge challenge.  After all, it feels very counterintuitive.</p>
<p>I remember years back when I first was told that I had to be happy with where I was before I could get what I really wanted.  I thought that was absurd. I was pretty ticked off at the &#8220;messenger&#8221; who told me that.</p>
<p>The thing is, he was right. </p>
<p>So what should you do?</p>
<p>Here are a few tips:</p>
<p>1) Breathe</p>
<p>2) Take a break or do something you enjoy. A walk, a bath, a cup of coffee, music, and so on.</p>
<p>3) Work with Abraham&#8217;s emotional scale (see sidebar for posts on that).</p>
<p>4) Pray and/or meditate, preferably both.</p>
<p>5) Have fun</p>
<p>6) Imagine you had it already and what that would feel like.  Put yourself into that emotional state.</p>
<p>7) Let it go. Allow. Turn it over to the Universe/God.</p>
<p>Remember, you can&#8217;t rush things.  But the less you resist them, the faster you&#8217;ll be able to attract them.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ever have a bad day and don&#8217;t know what to do with yourself?  Okay, so who doesn&#8217;t&#8230;  And it&#8217;s time I address this topic in my self-help blog again&#8230; </p>
<p>Sometimes, (or often), your bad mood or feelings of stress and despair may feel quite justified by outer circumstances.  And yet, we all know that we cannot usually control those circumstances.  Not all of them anyway.  Especially not other people.  Or the wealther.  Or a whole lot of other things.</p>
<p>But we can control how we feel, even if it doesn&#8217;t seem that way.</p>
<p>And I love Abraham&#8217;s tool, the emotional scale.  It never fails to work.  I wish I would remember to use it more often, because when I do use it, miracles happen &#8212; sometimes VERY fast.</p>
<p>Except&#8230; and here&#8217;s the trick, if you do it just so that there will be a miracle it won&#8217;t work nearly as well.  So just immerse yourself in it for the sake of making yourself feeling better, one step at a time.</p>
<p>You can find more details about the emotional scale in their book &#8220;The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent.&#8221;  (Esther and Jerry Hicks).</p>
<p>Of all the Abraham books, this one gives the most detailed examples on how to work through the emotional scale.  I actually copied the most applicable one out of the book, and started adapting it to my situation.</p>
<p>And every time I feel the need to raise my vibration (okay, not every time, but I really should), I take out one of my scales and adapt it to how I&#8217;m feeling right at the moment, and then work my way up the scale.  By the time I&#8217;m done, I&#8217;m feeling way better.</p>
<p>If it&#8217;s nice outside and still daylight, I&#8217;ll go out for a walk, which raises my vibrations even more.</p>
<p>So give it a try&#8230;</p>
