Self-Help Blog Update & Sister Blog Launch News (Tech Stuff Blog)

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

I did it!!! I’m so excited!

Finally, I have launched my long-anticipated tech stuff blog.

It’s name: www.myfavoritewebstuff.com

Please go take a look! It has the COOLEST header graphics (they keep changing — I haven’t seen the same thing twice yet).

I know that my enthusiasm for techie stuff had started to get in the way of the more general self-help stuff, which was plenty anti-niche-y as was, so now you’ll be able to find all my self-growth info and the how-to-feel better resources more easily without getting side-tracked by my adventures with Squidoo and Co.

I’ll still provide information and connections, but much of it will be limited to short comments and links/references to the other blog.

I hope this will work for you. If you like the tech stuff, I’ll see you over at my shiny new webstuff blog. Which comes with its own newsletter, one that features lots of resources on how to build your own online business and presence.

Meanwhile, if you’re looking for more self-help and you aren’t yet getting my newsletter, do sign up for it. I’m currently doing a series on how to raise your vibrations (and how to keep them high) for more effective manifestation of all your dreams. I’ve studied this subject intensely lately and, as is my tendency, I just can’t keep it to myself. And why would I want to anyway…

Stay tuned!

And have a fabulous day!

Elisabeth

P.S.: And btw, Mike, who taught me how to do all this, also just came out with a program that will teach how to get loads of traffic really fast:

More Self-Help and Self-Growth Websites :-)

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

I’ve just discovered yet another amazing self-growth website, and it’s aptly named www.SelfGrowth.com. Go take a look (but don’t forget to come back ;-)

What a wealth of great articles. I’ll be spending quite a bit of quality time over there and also plan to add a few of my own articles to their site!

Tomorrow, I’ll tell you about yet another favorite site I recently discovered (very different from the above, but equally amazing — I think tney complement each other beautifully), so check back soon to get the scoop.

Continued:

Okay, so it’s a week later… Here is finally the other blog I wanted to tell you about: www.stevepavlina.com.

It’s the ultimate personal growth blog, and my role model. When my blog grows up, it wants to be like Steve Pavlina’s blog! ;-)

Squidoo Secrets: How To Make Sure Your Squidoo Lens Does What You Want It To Do…

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

I love Squidoo! Such fun, and all those cool things you can do with them. Best thing since sliced cheese or take-out sushi or whatever else you might like.

BUT: There are a few things to watch out for… They’re really no-brainers once you come to think of it, but if you are the least bit distracted, they might trip you up, just as they have tripped me up until I figured out what went on.

1. When you start a lens, make sure you have enough time for at least 4 modules or so. Why? If you try to leave it like that, Squidoo might let someone else come along and take it over! And after just coming up with a cool lens name, you don’t want that, do you?

2. When you put in links, be sure to remember to put in the http bit! Why? Try to leave it out and watch what happens: Click on the link: It will take you to an “under construction” Squidoo lens under the name of the link and Squidoo will invite you to take it over! Ouch!

3. Remember to publish! I mean, remember to hit the “publish” button. Because if you don’t, your lens will remain exactly like it was before you put in all that hard work with your revision. Ouch again!

Are those biggies? Not for some people. But they can be for you if you think your links lead back to your website and what they really do is invite your hoped-for visitors to build their own Squidoo lens — with YOUR website’s name on it! Not only does this defeat the purpose, it also makes you look unprofessional. (To prevent any such snafus, check out the info below on Bob’s Squidoo Secrets training course.)

And, of course, please do check out some of my assorted Squidoo lenses:

My self-help lens, my new self-help lens, my secret to riches lens, my secret to happiness lens, my Abraham-Hicks lens, and so on.

I’m especially thrilled with the YouTube videos on some of them. I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I do! :)

Now if you want become a real expert lensmaster at Squidoo AND be able to use Squidoo to its fullest potential, here’s the full scoop on Squidoo Secrets and you should definitely take a look! I just did and immediately got it. Bob is a GREAT teacher and his Squidoo training is the best!

Elisabeth’s Freebies and Giveaways :-)

Saturday, January 12th, 2008

All the freebies and giveaways that I am currently offering will be posted here as of right now. This entry will always be easy to find even after it has rolled down the screen and then off to another screen because I will link it so that you’ll just have to click on the Freebies category and it’ll pop right up! I will keep adding more freebies whenever I create new ones and/or acquire them for you, so be sure to check back regularly.

NOTE ADDED later: There are a few freebies on my blog that are not listed. You can find them all by clicking on the FREEBIE category though. Enjoy!

I’ll also announce them through my mailing list, so if you prefer your freebies served to you on a silver platter right to your inbox, just sign up (see sign-up box to the top right of the page). And no, I will NEVER give away or sell your contact information. Your information is safe with me and will be kept strictly confidential.

Plus you will be able to unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the handy link at the bottom of each and every email. Of course I hope you won’t ever use that unsubscribe link because it would really hurt my feelings, but don’t mind me ;-) Seriously, it’s entirely up to you. I’m a big girl. I can handle it!

P.S.: I also send occasional extra freebies to my list members that will NOT be available here ;-)

Enough of the preliminaries though! Here’s your first freebie:

1. Free Report: The New Age Home-Based Business Plan — either for making a bit of extra cash or for replacing your current job altogether, your choice ;-)

2. Free 52-Week Audio and Video e-course on Article Marketing!!! Go to my favorite article guru’s website and sign up on the top left of the page. Also look for the FREE weekly teleseminar series halfway down the middle of the page. Those seminars are fantastic! Fun. Solid information. Downloadable mp3s are available right after the teleseminar in case you missed it and/or want to listen to it again. Highly recommended!

3. More than forty sets of prosperity consciousness enhancing EFT sequences FREE on Carol Look’s website — if you know where to look. Sign up for her free newsletter (they are in there, one per month) and then look either for newsletter archives (left hand side of screen) or follow the link in the newsletter itself. Highly recommended!

4. This one is not as big a freebie as it used to be, but you CAN still get three full days of “addictive health” for free. And what you learn in those three days will keep you feeling great for months to come! Take a look!

P.S.: What’s with those “donation” buttons? Well… If you enjoy the information here, and you find the freebies useful, AND you have a few dollars to spare AND want to help me out with the hosting and other website expenses, feel free to click on it and see what happens. ;-)

If you send $5 or more and would like my EFT introductory e-book (which focuses especially on fear of public speaking but is useful for many other issues as well) just make a note of that in the comments box at PayPal or send me an email afterwards! Thanks a million ;-)

Info Product Dashboard Update: Marlon’s Wealth of Riches & How to Put it All to Use

Monday, January 7th, 2008

Well….

I’ve gotten a bit derailed from my mission of putting my info product dashboard to use and creating some dynamite products NOW.

I’ve had some trouble with coming up with the 12 product ideas for the 12-product survey (and clearly, I wasn’t the only one). Plus there was a temporary detour away from my product creation goal and toward building my “list” instead as well as toward promoting other people’s products, including Marlon’s.

But now it’s the new year. And I have a few cool ideas on how to put my favorite dashboard to VERY productive use while short-circuiting (or at least shortcutting) the mountain that seems to appear right up front.

The fact is, sure, we all would LOVE for our first info product to be a huge, and I mean HUGE bestseller. And doing the proper survey increases the odds.

BUT: if the survey stops you from creating a product at all because you can’t get past it, maybe it’s time to just get going without it. Not blindly, mind you, but not with quite so formal a survey.

You can learn a lot from just plain creating a product or two even if that product won’t be that hot stuff best selling product you were hoping for. It may still sell, and it may be the perfect bonus offer, upgrade offer, give-away to build the list offer, or who knows what. Maybe even the perfect Warrior Special Offer where you then can get some feedback and create Your Product 2.0.

The thing I’m trying to get at here is this: Marlon’s dashboard contains such a wealth of information, resources, and how-to steps that you can start at any one of a number of different places and just have at it. You can always do the survey for your next product or the one after that. And by then, you’ll already have a product of ten under your belt, and everything gets easier each time you do it.

So… Stay tuned!

I’m working on a series of articles and postings that will provide you with ideas for smaller, more manageable products to get started with. Products that you can do easily and quickly, with the tools as well as the easy step-by-step directions you already have as part of the Info Product Dashboard.

And I’ll be creating products right along with you ;-)

Elisabeth

P.S.: In the unlikely event that you haven’t gotten yours yet, you may want to do so while it still comes with all those cool bonuses. And yes, I totally recommend it.

So maybe it’s a bit more of a good thing than you bargained for, but that’s good, isn’t it? Let’s say you won a million dollars in the lottery. You wouldn’t turn down $950,000 of them because all you need right now is $50,000, right? You’ll be happy to take it all while the getting is good! Same thing with the dashboard.

Marlon’s Info Product Dashboard is simply the most comprehensive and accessible system available anywhere for creating your own product, at an unbeliebably reasonable (bordering on ridiculously low) price once you consider what you’re getting, and once you compare it to the much less comprehensive and much more expensive competition!

So go get your Info Product Dashboard right here, right now:

Happy New Year! Here’s To An Amazing 2008! And Thank You For Coming Along For The Ride!

Friday, January 4th, 2008

Happy New Year, Dearest Reader!

You probably have no idea how much I appreciate you.

This blog has been an exciting journey since I started it just a few months ago, and it promises to get more exciting yet.
I thank you for being part of it. For reading my sometimes quirky and definitely quite meandering musings, resources, and recommendations, and for signing up for my newsletter.

I appreciate you for coming along for the ride as I ricochet back and forth between the Abraham, the Law of Attraction, and stress management, between resources for learning how to set up own websites and blogs and even for developing your own product (all in the service of prosperity of course) and a handy quick recipe for impressive chocolate-covered miniature cream puffs (yum!).

The danger with the latter is that now that I know how to make them, I’m constantly tempted to whip up another batch, even when there’s no party in sight that might require their presence. Hmmm. I could make some for my students ;-)

You probably know that on the internet, “niche” is king, and, well, this blog is anything but niche. It’s a veritable anti-niche blog, but then, I’m very much an anti-niche person.

When I first came to the United States to go to graduate school, I was absolutely amazed at the range of opportunities in this land of the free. I loved it! This is why I’m still here. This was a land where I did not have to choose either/or but where it was possible to do both/AND, plus then some more. I’ve always enjoyed doing several different things, and so I figurfe why stop now.

So I thank you for reading this and for being part of my blog. Do let me know if there’s something you particularly enjoy, or something you’d like to read (more) about. You can always send me an email at “supportATmyfavoriteselfhelpstuff.com”

If you’re getting my emails, you can also just hit “reply” and I will get your message.

Meanwhile, I wish you (and all of us) much happiness, excellent health, and fabulous success.

Elisabeth

P.S.: And here’s a great big thank you to Erik Stafford, the Faster Webmaster, for teaching me how to build my very first website, without which none of this would have been possible:
