Inspiration from Ed Dale and his “On being broke” Blog Post

Inspiration from a blog post on being broke? You bet.

If you don’t know Ed Dale, he’s the guy who brought us the 30-Day challenge — an outstanding program that helps people make their first money online.

He just posted a very cool blog post here:

Ed Dale “On being broke”

[Update: The link still goes to Ed’s blog, but no longer to that article.]

It’s about what to do if you’re too broke to afford a seminar you think would help you. He’s sharing his own story on when that happened to him — and what he did to turn things around.

And there are tons of comments (I just added my own), and they are highly inspirational as well (as is Ed Dale’s blog post, of course).

So what’s the solution? Action! Consistent action in the right direction.

Ed says, even if you just put in 30 minutes or maybe 2 hours, day after day, you’ll get somewhere.

I mean, you could set up a website or a blog where you promote something, then write an article a day, comment on relevant blogs, go to forums and comment, and you’ll start getting traffic.

(For FREE tips on how to set up a blog, go FREE Blogging Tips)

Then get that traffic to sign up for your list and send them useful information and great offers, and you’re off to the races.

Overnight? Nope.

But there are actually ways to make that income happen a whole lot faster, by offering your services for example.

Way back, when I was a student in Frankfurt, this piece of graffiti was sprayed all over the student center building: “Nur die Action bring Satisfaction” (spelling was a bit Germanified, but I don’t want to attempt to reconstruct that).

It means that only action brings satisfaction. And that’s the key. Sure, prayer and meditation help, but ultimately, there’s usually some action involved. Prayer and meditation are particularly helpful with guiding us to the right action, to inspired action…

My favorite spiritual joke is about that guy during a big flood, who was so counting on God to help him that he didn’t accept help from any earthly source. So at first, he was offered a ride by boat, twice, and he said, “No thanks. God will save me!”

As he was sitting on the roof of his house, surrounded by ever rising flood water, a helicopter came by to rescue him, and again, he said, “No thanks. God will save me!”

And soon after that, he was washed away in the flood…

When he met his maker after drowning, he said, “Why didn’t you rescue me? I was counting on you.”

And God said, “I sent you two boats AND a helicopter!”

With apologies to anyone who might find this a bit sacrilegious, I really love the message in this joke. You’ve got to DO something, and use the tools you’re given to help yourself.

And that’s Ed Dale’s message too.

Here’s a free book I’m offering that gives you some pointers for how to make money — legitimately — from home, by using the internet. The techniques I mention in there are almost all ones I’m using myself.

Make Money in your Jammies FREE book

And if you want the money more quickly, a detailed guide with 10 ways to make money from home, legitimately, oh yeah, and a full-time one too if you want, by selling your services. There’s a wide range, and some of them require no particular skills at all. It’s all explained well enough so you can get started today with some of them. Check it out here:

Make money from your home… by selling your services.

I have used several of these techniques myself to make part of my living. Of course, there are no guarantees, and it will not work unless you actually — DO the work!

So get it and then pick something and take action (if you want to increase your cash flow, that is), and leave a comment below to let us all know what you did and how’s it going, or if you’ve had similar experiences, or have also been inspired by Ed’s blog, etc.

Remember too that the 1,000 mile journey begins with the first step, as the famous Chinese proverb points out. Or was it Confucius?

Stress Relief and Marlon Sanders’ Promo Dashboard: Where’s the Connection?

I’ll tell you where.  You know how when you’re stressed, especially over a huge big project, or way too long a to do list, and so on, it can make things go into a tail spin.  How to relief that stress?  Do things one task at a time, and while each one is in progress, that’s where the focus is.  Same thing I told my student many times.  How to handle test stress: One question at a time.  Now what does that have to do with Marlon Sanders’ Promo Dashboard?

As it turns out, plenty.  Promoting a product launch, or even just getting people to sign up for a newsletter is a big project with lots and lots of details, and when any of the steps are missing or stump me or you, it all grinds to a halt.  And gets very stressful.

So Marlon took that prime stress management approach to making product promotion basically uhm, well, not entirely stress free, but much less stressful and overwhelming than it could be.

Of course just looking at the various icons — and seeing that once you click, there are multiple tasks to complete under each one of them, can feel pretty daunting too.  Yes, that dashboard has got a heck of a lot of stuff on it.

But it’s all organized.  One task at a time.  And thoroughly explained.  And all are pretty much in the exact order in which you have to complete them.

So you can just focus on each of the them one at a time and not worry about anything else until it’s done, and then go on to the next one, and so on.

Way cool!  And a great model for other kinds of projects as well (Marlon knows that of course.  After all, he has used that dashboard principle successfully with the Info Product Dashboard, the Marketing Dashboard, the Affiliate Dashboard, and the Design Dashboard, before he even got to the Promo Dashboard.

But back to other applications for the dashboard principle:  Whether it’s an elaborate Thanksgiving dinner for the family reunion or a house cleaning project or planning a long trip or writing a dissertation, the principle is the same.  Figure out in which order things have to get done, and then tackle them one at a time, and while you’re at one of them, don’t look at that loooooong list of stuff  you still have to do.

Although an occasional glance at all the ones you have already finished can be increasingly encouraging as you work your way through the project.

The result.  A whole lot less stress!

So, if you’re at all interested in internet marketing or making money online, you really should check out Marlon’s Promo Dashboard.  It’s simply great!  And heck, for the price you could even get it if all you need is a great model for how to organize a complex process.  It costs less than a one-hour consultation with one of those organizer people.  You can see it by clicking right here:

Marlon’s Promo Dashboard

Oh, and the best part — it’s like you have a tutor at your beck and call.  I just discovered a big thing I know I really need and wanted to learn but didn’t know how to do and felt very intimidated by.

And guess what.  The dashboard walked me right through it, step by step.  And I also found similar explanations for stuff I had only recently learned the very hard and sometimes expensive way.  I really wish I had had that dashboard sooner.

So take a look at my favorite stress reduction dashboard 😉

And if you’d like a freebie bonus 7 tips stress busting e-report, you can have that too.

And have a verrrry relaxing day!

Marlon Sanders’ new Promo Dashboard just came out, and I almost spilled my coffee when I saw the page: I’m on it!!! For Real!

As you probably know, I really like his products, and I have a bunch of them and am a happy customer. But I had no idea I’d be on his sales page as a testimonial. So cool!

Go take a look! Just scroll down a bit and I’m on the left hand side, with photo!

Please Click Here: Promo Dashboard

And check out the promo dashboard too. I just bought mine, the minute it came out, and I’m going to start checking it out as soon as I’ve told everybody to go look at my photo/testimonial on Marlon’s sales page 😉

Detailed review coming up VERY soon! I’ve taken a first look at it and it definitely lives up to my (high!) expectations.  Marlon’s tried and true system of point-and-click, with small and manageable action steps, details explained in multi-media, even a help forum (and his always helpful support crew) if there are questions.

Info Product Dashboard Update: Marlon’s Wealth of Riches & How to Put it All to Use

Well….

I’ve gotten a bit derailed from my mission of putting my info product dashboard to use and creating some dynamite products NOW.

I’ve had some trouble with coming up with the 12 product ideas for the 12-product survey (and clearly, I wasn’t the only one). Plus there was a temporary detour away from my product creation goal and toward building my “list” instead as well as toward promoting other people’s products, including Marlon’s.

But now it’s the new year. And I have a few cool ideas on how to put my new dashboard to VERY productive use while short-circuiting (or at least shortcutting) the mountain that seems to appear right up front.

The fact is, sure, we all would LOVE for our first info product to be a huge, and I mean HUGE bestseller. And doing the proper survey increases the odds.

BUT: if the survey stops you from creating a product at all because you can’t get past it, maybe it’s time to just get going without it. Not blindly, mind you, but not with quite so formal a survey.

You can learn a lot from just plain creating a product or two even if that product won’t be that hot stuff best selling product you were hoping for. It may still sell, and it may be the perfect bonus offer, upgrade offer, give-away to build the list offer, or who knows what. Maybe even the perfect Warrior Special Offer where you then can get some feedback and create Your Product 2.0.

The thing I’m trying to get at here is this: Marlon’s dashboard contains such a wealth of information, resources, and how-to steps that you can start at any one of a number of different places and just have at it. You can always do the survey for your next product or the one after that. And by then, you’ll already have a product of ten under your belt, and everything gets easier each time you do it.

So… Stay tuned!

I’m working on a series of articles and postings that will provide you with ideas for smaller, more manageable products to get started with. Products that you can do easily and quickly, with the tools as well as the easy step-by-step directions you already have as part of the Info Product Dashboard.

And I’ll be creating products right along with you 😉

Elisabeth

P.S.: If you haven’t gotten yours yet, you may want to do so while it still comes with all those cool bonuses. And yes, I totally recommend it.

So maybe it’s a bit more of a good thing than you bargained for, but that’s good, isn’t it? Let’s say you won a million dollars in the lottery. You wouldn’t turn down $950,000 of them because all you need right now is $50,000, right? You’ll be happy to take it all while the getting is good! Same thing with the dashboard.

Marlon’s Info Product Dashboard is simply the most comprehensive and accessible system available anywhere for creating your own product, at an unbeliebably reasonable (bordering on ridiculously low) price once you consider what you’re getting, and once you compare it to the much less comprehensive and much more expensive competition!

So go get your

Info Product Dashboard (Marlon Sanders’ Newest Creation). An Update

I was looking over my posts and suddenly realized that while I wrote a review article about Marlon’s cool new Info Product Dashboard for ezinearticles et al, I completely missed writing about it on my blog!

And right now I’m in the middle of grading piles of papers and exams, so this will have to be short… More to come, though!

Meanwhile, you’ve got to check out Marlon’s video!!!

Anyway, for now, here’s the scoop so far:

If you’re tired of trading time for money (and remember, just how much time have you got that you can possibly trade… does “self-limiting” mean anything to you?), Marlon Sanders’ new Information Product Dashboard is JUST what you need.

What makes it so cool? It’s point-and-click simple, everything you need is included, and so creating your info product is, well, not exactly a no-brainer, but something very achievable.

Marlon basically takes you by the hand and guides you through the process as you work your way along those 36 buttons, units, or modules of the Information Product Creation Dashboard, providing you with all the blue prints, templates, and other stuff you could possibly want right where you need it.

What can I say. I love mine! And if I hadn’t won it, I would have bought mine!

I’m still working on my first product because I’ve been derailed by exam season, but soon, REAL soon, I’ll be getting caught up. And that’s when I’ll write a more detailed progress report.

But you don’t want to wait that long! Go ahead and get yours so you too can start building your own paint-by-the-numbers point-and-click info product. You’ll just kick yourself if you don’t and then find out what you’ve been missing!

And if you’re not a newbie anymore and think you know it all… there are quite a few things in there that you may not know yet — or ways to make things faster, or smarter. Give it a look-see already! This thing has everything I could possibly think of and then some!

Oh, and it has stuff in writing, in graphics, in audio, and video. Plus, of course, the whole process is totally hands-on. It has something for any learning style.

So now it’s time for me to get back to grading papers, and time for you to go take a peek at Marlon’s Info Product Dashboard.

Maybe you’ve hesitated because it sounds just so wonderful that you think it’s worth thousands, and I think it is, but mercifully it doesn’t even costs hundreds. But to find out just how incredibly reasonably priced it is, you’ve got to take a look.

Have an outstanding evening.

Elisabeth 🙂
